Leach Kilgrain (Ray Bennett) has a plan to gain control of all the ranches in Pecos. His unscrupulous Mayor Ewell (Walter Soderling) boosts taxes higher than the ranchers can pay, and Kilgrain plans to buy the land cheaply at foreclosure sales. Ellen Brandon (Betty Miles) rebels and shoots the tax collector Fuller (Lee Powell) when he visits her father, Jeb Brandon (Carl Stockdale.) While running from Kilgrain's henchie posse, she encounters Wild Bill Boone (Bill Elliott as Bill Elliott), grandson of the famous Daniel Boone, and forces him to change horses with her. Bill rides into Pecos and Kilgrain, knowing his reputation as a gunfighter, offers Bill the job of tax collector, and Bill accepts with the intention of getting evidence against kilgrain and the Mayor. He wires his friend Cannonball (Dub Taylor) to bring a large amount of money to Pecos. Bill marks the money and gives it to the Mayor, saying it represents taxes he has collected. Meanwhile, Cannonball has his own problems as he is pursued by twins Melinda and Matilda (played by twin sisters Verda and Verna Rodik) and he thinks they are the same girl. Bill, gets the evidence he needs when Kilgrain and Ewell use the marked money to further their plans.

Pete Childers (George Chesebro), a notorious killer, is assigned as a deputy to Sheriff Bob Hall (Bob Steele.) Hardy Keller (Steve Clark), wanted for murder, is hiding on a ranch own by Bob's sweetheart, Helen Jones (Louise Stanley) and her brother Fred (Kenne Duncan as Kennth Duncan.) Childers is working with Farley (Ted Adams), a crooked cattle dealer. After Childers wantonly shoots down the surrendering Kellar, Bob beats him up and fires him. Bob knows that Fred is on familiar terms with the rustlers, but Helen won't believe him and they quarrel.

So Bill heads out by himself to face McKee in the showdown.

The cult of Ubasti, headquartered on the isle of Lemuria, believes that Princess Nadji of Egypt is a reincarnation of their long-dead goddess, Ossana, and intend to sacrifice her so that Ossana may be resurrected. Nadji has sought refuge at the California home of Frank Chandler, an American educated in the Ancient East and familiar with White Magic and thus calls himself "Chandu". Vindhyan, high priest of the cult's California base has learned of this, however, and works his Black Magic to gain control of Nadji. Chandu is able to rescue her but she is in a deep trance which he cannot penetrate, so attempts to move her to safety in the South Seas, unaware that the cult has a base there also and that Vindhyan has stowed aboard his chartered yacht...

On the mystic island of Lemuria, the cult of Ubasti seek the Egyptian Princess Nadji to sacrifice so that their goddess Ossana, whose soul resides in Nadji's body, may be resurrected by Black Magic. Nadji is located in the Far East port of Suva, but shielded by the White Magical powers of Frank Chandler, an American raised by Eastern mystics who is also known as Chandu. When Chandu takes a voyage alone, however, the evil Voice of Ubasti is able to magically spirit her to Lemuria, where Black Magic reigns supreme. Chandu sets out in pursuit with his sister Dorothy, niece Betty and nephew Bob; but, shipwrecked on the magic island, Chandu finds his family also held prisoner for sacrifice while he is plunged into an endless maze of caverns beneath the evil temple, where both his mortal and magical strength seem rendered useless...
