My guess is this is one of those movies spawned by the success of the Thin Man series. The three leads are hilarious together, I love the way the play off of each other with that fast paced don't wait for the audience to catch up dialogue. This is a wonderful mystery/comedy that probably doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Had my mom and I in stitches throughout!

There is a moment in this not very wonderful film where a woman who is trying to hear the performers on stage tells an obnoxious George Murphy and a loud and obnoxious Carol Landis to shut up. Unfortunately, neither Murphy, Landis nor the film makers listened.

  • Disappointing silly comedy

Having Wonderful Crime was a disappointment. The plot was all over the place, the acting silly and overdone, and was just not fully at all. It was downright stupid.

Comedy & whodunit works for me. Good cast, good story well presented with good pace. Carole Landis is curvaceous & gorgeous. Enjoy

Finally I have found this comedy. I have been looking for it since the early 90's. I wish TCM would air it. And I hope we can get it released on DVD!!! My copy is wearing out. But my vote is in. How about yours?
