    A GREAT, GREAT movie!It's a comical/love story that also tells the tale of patriotism and devotion to country.The efforts of those unseen, unheard and mostly never known.Olivia is FANTASTIC - she skips, jumps, slides and makes the cutest facial expressions.

    This is a great movie that I would love to see again. You haven't played it since the summer of 2012 an it is a real gem. Thanks, a loyal fan of TCM

    Government Girl is a great movie from the 1940's. It's one of those screwball comedies of that era. Olivia de Havilland plays a secretary to an engineer who's just moved to Washington DC during WW II and helps him acclimate to the machinations of government with great hilarity.
